Mao's last dancer final blog

I have finished reading the wonderful book Mao's last dancer by Li Cunxin. I am happy that Cunxin has defected from communism. He has married Mary Mc Kendry and had 3 children. Cunxin is having a happy life as a stockbroker in Australia. His family is now enjoying a higher living standard because of Deng Xiaoping. All of his six brothers are married now.

Samurai Kids-Final blog

The Cockroaches have won! Niya, Mikko, Taji, Yoshi, Kyoko, Nezume and Ki Yaga (sensei) have tried their hardest, they have been dragged down by bullies and they have disabilities but their perseverance has grown. They follow the Samurai ways and they remember everything Ki Yaga has told them. They believe cockroaches are the strongest creatures. They only believe in fairness and the Samurai ways, but sensei has taught them, no life is worth destroying, even if they are a bad person.

Authors Craft  I believe the author has used various amounts of authors craft because in this historical narrative Sandy Fussell has used lots of descriptive language and this really sets the scene. Her background knowledge of the book makes the book more tense and exciting as you read on. You can really see how much information she has gathered on Japan and Samurai's in general. I would recommend this book for 9-13 year old children.

little brother (part 2)

continuing on the book viethy has began his travel along to the border to find his long lost brother that has been gone for what feels like quite a while. at the back of a truck he began to proceed to the border. viethy reached a bike store and begins to wish that his intelligent brother mang was there to help him at this troubling time.

Mao's last dancer

I am up to page 166 in the wonderful book called Mao's last dancer. Cunxin got in to madame Mao's beijing dance academy. I feel bad for him because he got poor grades for dancing but I am happy he gets to go back home to see his family. I am very excited to read on and eager to see what happens next

Samurai Kids Isla

I am up to page 146 in this descriptive, enduring book. Samurai Kids has many funny parts and unpredictable events, for example Taji is blind but he somehow beat Niya, a boy missing a leg. Taji usually beats the crew because he doesn't have the gift of sight he can hear very deeply, even a small tip toe step.

Little Brother

This is a fascinating book that takes us into the lives of the innocent children suffering in Cambodia and how they survive. Throughout the book, I have slowly come to the realization that Veithy and Mang are very different characters, but unique in their own ways. Mang is a very courageous and intelligent boy that is tough and fearless but on the other hand, Viethy is a very scared and worried little boy. along the way mang and veithy hear gunshots and mang begins to run leaving only the simple words "follow the lines...... to the border", these words leave everyone curious and puzzled. I wonder if in the end viethy will find mang and I'm desperate to know what lines and what border. will they make it to freedom and happiness or will there be a problem along the way?

Little Brother by Chelsea Lima

Little Brother is a book about a boy called Vilthy who lives . Who tries to find it's brother called Mang by his last direction to follow the border but Vilthy does not know what he meant. I his journey of finding Mang, Vilthy meets new people which help him to find Mang and rest of his family. He meets a King, some villagers and more. I like the pattern how in a main point and you have a problems again and again by the time you solve the main problem. I think this book is amazing and this book is maybe really focused on the literacy like it has really great and that's what I like about.

little brother opinion

I enjoy reading this book because it makes me feel grateful as I have never experienced anything like this. It gives me tips on how to survive in different situations. I am very curious on why they couldn't have washed themselves in the lake. It is a very touching story and i have so much respect and pity for those poor people who experienced this war and lost there families.
